Economy
New Zealand has developed over the last 20 years to an industrialized, free market economy that is one of the most globalized in the world. The dynamic growth has boosted income, and broadened the technological capabilities of the industrial sector. We are ranked by the World Bank as the easiest place in the world to start a business (2015), and came in third in Forbes ‘Best Country for Business’ report (December, 2014) just behind Denmark and Hong Kong.
Employment
New Zealand employment rates have been gathering steam, rising 3% in 2015, with an unemployment rate of only 5.9%. Migration is generating more demand, with post-earthquake construction activity in Christchurch and growth in domestic incomes creating more jobs. Now is the right time to be looking for jobs in New Zealand, especially if you have the right skills.
Education
New Zealand has one of the top education systems in the world, coming in at eight best in The Learning Curve global education report. Our education system reflects our unique and diverse society. We welcome all abilities, religions, ethnic groups, income levels and ideas. The educational processes we have in place provide students with consistent, high-quality education across all levels, from early childcare, to primary and secondary level, as well as further education.
